UPS finally brought ME something

I get shipments in here every day, but today was all me:D I had ordered another camera body and a portrait lens that was supposed to be here friday but never showed thanks to the ice and snow:ermm:

Well it did come today and I am loving it so far:D

I have a D70 with a Nikkor 18-200 VR (thats what i took the pics with here, and a D100 that my brother snuck off with)

I still have to go in and set the camera up for the way I like it, and this lens is very picky to its focal point.

a cd is $25 shipped, and at places like BPG I usually have way more then enough pics to satisfy every rider. Some other photogs get mad that I do it so cheap, but for christ sakes, I cant stand the trackside hounds that want $30 for 1 8x10 that you wait a month for:ermm:

At the nationals, no one is supposed to be taking pictures to resell. RaceDayPix has the exclusive right for that and they pay for that right. I take pics for our race coverage but a few do get sold to sponsors/riders/magazines etc. I try and play by the rules:p (In all honesty they can not prohibit anyone from taking and selling pictures no matter how "exclusive" they try and make it seem. It is a public event.

how do you like your Nikon compared to like a Cannon Rebel? I use a rebel for the school and im thinking about buying one but ive heard good things about the Nikons and the one I have at home is a Nikon and i've had no problems with it

ive never really shot the canon enough to form a real opinion. my brother has one, seems to do fine. nikon has a new unit, the D40 @ $599 that is head to head with the rebel. the D80 would be my pick for a higher end unit for just about everything shy of full on professional use.

the camera body's today are pretty close, its the lens that really brings things to life. a rebel similair with a great lens can give you as good of results as most of the higher end body's.
