Solenoid Wire

Can someone tell me what the red wire that runs to the solenoid is? Not a the battery cable.. it's a little wire. It's red.. Could this be the reason the electric start on my quad doesn't work?

The red wire runs to your switch.. So I would say thats way it will not start..
