suggestions?

Going on vacation in march, and am thinking about taking it.

Only one i can think of is to park up next to a big huge retaining wall. lol.

you should try and cover it with something so people dont see it and take parts of or something.

yea cover it make sure you lock it up to your truck as well, turn the gas to off so if someon finds a way to get it youll have more time to get to it

for the future they have alarms systems on ebay

When you park back it in and put the bumper against the wall, it's not fool proof but it'd help.

Yep. and get a cable and a lock, fun it through the frame and to the tow strap tie downs and masterlock it. should be fine.

Maybe chain it with a lock to your truck loops for the straps.

I mean its not full proff but I think most people that see a quad in the truck bed are not prepared to be cutting things. MOst people with those tools have scoped out and are prepared ahead of time.

Be sure to park underneath a brite light of somesort close to your door as possible

In addition to backing up to a wall I chain it to the bumper or if it's in the trailer the chain goes around the tongue.

Buy a rotor lock for a street bike or put a padlock thru the rotor so they cant push it away.

I just always back up close to something , turn the gas off , turn the killswitch off , take the key and make sure it's in gear. I figure by the time they figure out how to get it i will hear them and be on my way with some sort of weapon.

Get some clear radiator tubing or tape some rags in key points and run a chain through the frame of your quad in front of the engine, over the a arms and then down between your cab and box and around the truck frame. Empahasis on the tubing/ rags for paint/part protection. Its a pain crawling under the truck to lock it, but all the can take is parts off the quad.

thought of another idea, get a long chain hook one side of the chain to your quad and the other side to your ankle

Using the old outrunning a bear rule....

Park it next to someone who has a nicer quad? lol.

Chain it down, and get some chinesse prank pops. (The fireworks w/ a string on both ends when you yank on them they go bang). Tie them to the chain, and misc parts so when someone starts jacking with the quad it sets them off. Enough to make a racket and make them leave. And only costs like $0.50

the pops sound like an interesting idea, maybe get some of the ones you thro and lay on the ground so they step on them too. lmao i can see that but at anyrate chain it to the truck and pull the coil wire off the truck so it wont run. if you make it too hard to steal the wheeler they will take just take your truck too and most trucks are easy targets for jackin. not sure what wheeler you have but theres a couple that even if you take the key I could start in 1 second no lie. best thing is make sure you have insurance no matter what. and stay out of bad neighborhoods
