Buying a boat

My sister and I are planning on buying a boat this summer. Our budget is $6000. Both putting in 3gs. What kind of boat is in our price range. No sailboats either.

I am not an expert but have worked on some boats, and want to get one for my own in a few years, main thing for me I would have to have an inboard engine, more reliable. Boats are heavy get something you can pull behind whatever vehicle you have. Make sure its not rotted out, if someone didnt have the cover on and the boat was getting wet inside alot they will rot out and its a mess and alot of work to rebuild. Thats what will make a boat cheap but its worth paying more for solid wood. boats that have only ever been in freshwater are generally in better shape than ones that have been in salt too.
