can u do it and it not hurt it? i hate mine being in there they clog up with mud sometimes:ermm: has anyone done this and had no problems?

I hope you dont mean the fins in the radiator, they are neccessary for cooling!

im thinking hes meaning the plastic pieces in front of the radiator, i dont see why your couldnt paint them black

i keep mine on just for protection of damaging the actual radiator fins

yea im talkin abought the plastic ones in front of it lol .... i want to paint em black so there not so noticable

Ditto, I'm thinking they stop a lot of the bigger rocks from hitting the actual rad it self.

Put them in a pot of boiling water. Then add food coloring. The color you want them to be. It will soak up the color, like dyeing them. I don't know if they make black food coloring.

You can also use RIT dye. I think you can get it in shoprite

I wouldn't take them off, because they help protect the radiator and also flow air to it. They make spray paint for plastics check your local Home Depot, Lowes, etc., just make sure you clean them well before you spray them and at room temp.

wont they melt and wont the food coloring stain the bowl?

mix a few different food colorings for black. and it wont stain the bowl.

i went ahead a painted them with some paint my dad uses at work to spray # on to loaders so it should hold up well.... and i like bent the middle one all to .... and it didn't chip or anythign so i think i'm good:macho

The dye works well. Buddy at work who is into RC uses it for his RC truck wheels and they look awesome and it holds up.

I keep losing the rubber bushings where they mount, and they just flop around.... Im taking them off and keeping them off...:o
