87 Cylinder on 86 bottom end

Will an 87-up cylinder and head work on an 86 shortrod with an 86 piston. Searched and coudnt find anything. Thanks

What about a 87-up piston?

If you use a 87-89 piston on a 85-86 crank the piston will hit the crank/ won't go all the way up into the cylinder.
