High Comp Piston?

I am looking to put a higher compression piston in my 05 450r. I want to run pump gas or maybe even a mix. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't go with the 12.25:1 Venom? Is there anything out there better? I will be riding the sand alot with this bike it that helps.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Venom 12.25:1 piston. Actually, I haven't heard one single bad thing about them. As soon as I get some cash, I plan on picking one up for my 05' R. The other forums on the net claim that they actually outperform the 13:1 pistons on the market yet you can still run pump gas.

i know cp makes good pistions and they make a 12:1 that is able to run on pump gas.

I read about the venom on anoter forum, but on the other forum one of the forum sponsors is venom. So I wanted to make sure that there wasn't a bias, you know. I'm glad to hear that someone else outside of that forum has heard of vemon and knows a little something about them. Thanks for the input. I'll let you guys know how the bike runs when I get my new 12.25:1 venom piston. I'm also going to change out my HRC cam and put in a HotCams Stage 2. I can't wait.
