Ok, here is my question to you all. How do a CR125, CR250, CRF250R and 440ex all compare. As far as bottom end pull, top end power and general rideability. The reason im asking is, that im trying to get something that will seem similair to the power of my 440, but with 2 wheels...im sick of having 4!:p

There's really no comparison between the 2-strokes and the 440. You have to ride them different and keep the rpms way up the whole time.

If you want a bike that will be easiest to learn how to ride, go with the crf. It will have more power than the 125 and it will act more like the ex as far as how the motor needs to be ridden.

125's are the cheapest of the bunch and if you are okay with being on the gas all the time I'd go for one of those. They're very simple, easy to maintain and way cheaper to buy than the crf's.

I love my YZ125...

As far as the KTM no link....it can me made to work awesome for huge jumps, but then it will absolutely suck on the smaller stuff and it will buck around a lot. It can also be made to work well for the smaller stuff but you will bottom out on all the big jumps. With a linkage you can set the shock up to work well overall and not be terrible with one extreme or the other.

if you g wih 4-stroke go with honda man especially there crf150r those ar pretty sick

but for 2-stroke man nothing is better the a yz, i use to have a yz85 and it was hell on wheels!

i would rather go with 4-stroke now and days because of there reliablity and wide power band with awesome torque, but i love the snap of a 2-stroke

but its mostly rider prefer
