I bought a 2001 400ex used with alot of add ons. It needs A-arm bushings. I was told they were Burgard +2's. So I ordered a set from Burgard and they were way too small. I talked to Burgard and they told me their A-arms have a 3/4" inside diameter where the pushing sits, mine have a 7/8' ID. Any one know who makes these? Need to get bushings soon as these are totally trashed. Thanks in advance...

Measure The front end and see what the length is. Them things look stock. Measure it and that way we can determine even if there +2 , They dont look like it. Lets get this figured out.

measured from the center a arm bolt to center of ball joint measures 16". Does that help or is there a better measurement?

Measure from the center, of the center lug, to the center, of the center of another tire, if it's about 40 inches, it's +2 (mine was 39 inches i believe)

they look stock. They don't have removable balljoints.

But if you look at the bottom of a stock a-arm, it looks nothing like that. There's no two bars where the shock mounts, it's like a flat plate.

the tires measure about 40 inches from center of tire to center of tire. From what I've seen on ebay for stock arms, these look nothing like them. Also, the uppers have heim joints for caster/camber adjustments. Burgards use balljoints like these, so there are aftermarket arms that don't have removable ball joints.
Any other ideas?

Can you get some close up pics of the ball joints and the cross piece on the lower arm?

What kind of pic of the ball joint? top, bottom, side? And the lower a arm cross piece? Where the shock mounts? I'll pull the 400 out tomorrow in the day light and get some more pics.

any way of contacting the original owner of the quad? that would be the surest bet instead of guess work:o

The person I bought it from said they were Burgard's. He was also supposed to get me contact info of the original owner, who he bought it from still stock, but now won't return emails. So, previous owners won't be any help for me here.

here's pics of the lower ball joint and shock mount. Maybe this will help some. All I know for sure is, they are not Burgards. I got bushings from them that don't fit, and after talking with them they are not there's.

are you talking about were the shocks mount or were the a-arms mount on to the frame? because maybe you should give us some pictures of were you are trying put put the bushings.. if you are talking about were they mount on to the frame try using stock bushings.

look like ASR to me. but they are def. NOT stock lower a-arms. the shock mount is on a single solid plate on the stockers...but I would try some stock bushings as suggested above...

If I were you I would just buy some new a-arms b/c those look like very low quality and I wouldn't feel safe ridin on them. just get some used ones off ebay that you KNOW what kind and in good condition.

low quality? could you explain why you think that? Haven't had any problems other than needing new bushing.
