Carb Problems - Air and gas mixture screw

Well, my 400ex is all pretty much stock, besides the K&N air filter, and I turned the air and gas mixture screw 3.5 turns out, and when ever i try to crank it up, it doesn t crank, and only barely runs on choke, then soon after cuts off.

any sugguestions?

Either you are rich from putting the air filter in which I think you are put in a 152 main that should help. Turn in your air screw I think that is to rich to. Whats the plug look like?

I agree with #4, try about 2.5 turns out.

Yea put the screw back to stock and throw in a 152 main that should be it.

Stock is 2 1/4. Go with 2 1/2 turns out on the fuel screw and a 150K with a stock exhaust still installed and your airbox lid on.
