Motor Question?????

Does anyone know if a motor from a 2005 400ex will fit on a 2001 frame? I looked up the frame part numbers and they are different but the mounts and frame look very close to the same.We found a great deal on a newer motor and we dont know if it will fit and it would be nice to know for sure.

i'm pretty shur thay bolt right up i have herd of alot of people doing it and have't had any problums by the way if you don't mind me asking how much are you paying for the engine

I found one at a local place for $1000.I havent seen it yet but they told me it was in good shape.

Do you know if any of the electrical stuff will matter with the swap?

it should't bolth engines are the same exsept for the trans oh and there is a 2005 bottom end that is selling for $750 just so you know
