Does anyone know when the new Hiper wheels will be released? I just bought a set of Hiper wheels and i was thinking about calling them and asking if they would swap my wheels for the new solid carbon fiber wheel.

Would you guys recommend running a full carbon fiber wheel, the alum. in the middle i feel is strong for the bolts and studs but carbon there might be weak.

they will be cheaper than the current lineup of Hiper wheels due to the fact that there is less material to make them.

they are also 1lb lighter a wheel than the current hiper wheels out.

Will they be stronger? Thats what really matters.

Stronger than the current Hipers or stronger than aluminum rims?

I would guess that they would be stronger. I don't think they want to lose the title of king of the wheels. Plus, with one whole piece, I think there would be less of a chance of the wheel cracking and separating. Since the carbon fiber( or w/e they are made out of) flexes and the aluminum does not, I think the wheels would be more durable. Either way, I probably wouldn't buy them till I heard some Pros and Cons from the people that really put the beat down on them.

well should i wait and see if they will get me a set of the new ones are ride what i got, what should i do for wheels until they come out. i hate that i got brand new hipers and the new ones will be out in two months that will be stronger and lighter.

Depends...If you need the hipers, I would just keep them. They are tried and true and are still a good wheel. I personally can wait for a while since I am rebuilding and I hate riding in the cold weather.

the new rear ones aren't dual beadlock like the current ones, I don't know if that matters to you or not. I like the dual beadlock, as it pretty easy and don't need a bead breaker to change wheels. Also it looks as the new ones require you to use a tapered lug nut.

This is what Angie told me about the new Hipers.

The CF1's are more geared towards the weekend/recreational rider. They will still be stronger than competitors wheels, however, our strongest wheels will still be the current line of Tech 3 wheels

So it sounds like the current Hipers will be better for racers then the new all carbon Hipers.

This is also what I heard from a Hiper Dealer.
