I'm goin to keep the honda red with this hood in black<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m271/JoeSaitta/450rhood.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>
an mount the 450r head light under it like it is on the 450,also i"m goin to trim the fenders to look more like the 450's too.

I've already made sure all the parts are goin to fit up good useing parts from my buddies quads. The hardest part is goin to be making the bracket for the headlight, but I'm good with metal work so it sould be a walk in the park.

I'll definatly take lots of pic's an postem up,for you guys to check em out

well I started putting my new fenders on today. I was goin to cut them different but I did em with more of an angle.I ride mostly XC so I need decent size fender but I hate how big they are stock
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m271/JoeSaitta/Feb24_0004.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

I needed a new spot for my key so I made a plate out of stainless steal an mounted it where the reverse knob would be.

I hate the little nubs on the rear fender so i shaved them off too
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m271/JoeSaitta/Feb25_0003.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

This is about where the 450r light will be, but I won't know for sure till my hood gets here on monday. All I had to do was change the plug from my old lights to the 450r's an they plug rite in like factory

Wow! That looks really nice, hopefully you get it done soon. Did the front fenders bolt right up?

do the new style fenders bolt onto an older 400? I have a 99 and like the way the 06+ looks alot better, and it's time to change the plastics anyway. If there is mod's needed, how much to make em fit.

Very nice man, so do you have to replace the rears as well as the fronts when you do this or can you replace just the fronts?

Probably because your supposed to remove the headlight to use that hood:o You got it looking probably about as good as it can with the hood and headlight.

I know that you don't use the light with that hood, but the only reason is it to long on the 450 but on the 400 its not so long.I was just having a little problem with the width of things

"slodsm" you don't have to replace the rear but I wanted everyting to match good so I did

"THE ShoP"

the only hard part is making the brakets for the headlight, you need to make 2 top mounts an one bottom

I got lucky an picked up the light for only $55 bucks on e-bay,new fenders fromt&rear $200,an got the hood for like 60 I think?

I do a lot of night ridding an I need I light but if I go to the track I can take it off in less than 2 min,its only 3 bolt

for a great look...

over here in portugal, if i want to do something like that, i would have to pay the same just for the front fenders..... :S

dont take the light out, looks sweet just as it is!!!

that looks sick!!! How did you get that light to hook up, I mean the wiring harness and all? Also did you use a 450r hood or a 05 400ex hood? I am definately going to do that!

the wireharness is no problem to do,all you have to do is cut the one off the 450r light an splice the one from your old lights on.the one on you quad is a female end an so is the one on the 450r light you just take the male from your lights an splice it on

and the hood is a maier vented 450r hood

I'm def leaven the light.what good is it to have a quad you can't ride at nite
