Water pump

I have an 03 KFX with a leak around my water pump. I took the rubber seal off the cover plate and replaced it. I made sure not to over tighten the bolts and pinch the seal, the leak stopped for a few rides. Now it's doin it again and i'm tired of loosing coolant. The only thing that comes to mind is that the impeller is not working right. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so, did you just get a new impeller or how did you fix it?

try changing the mechanical seal behind the impellar


same thing just happened to me it was leaking from the weep hole between the oil seal the the mechanical seal... the mechanical seal is letting water by and it goes out the weep hole which is between the clutch cover and the water pump assembly. i just bought that mechanical seal ( Suzuki part # 17470-02F10) thats behind the impeller and yeah the leak went away..i also changed all the o rings just to be safe...here is a link with more detailed instructions on the problem and how to take care of it ....
