I have a stock 2004 400ex with a k&n pro design w/adapter going to jet the carb with the stock exhaust and i was wondering what jet size i should go with on the main i bought a dynojet kit and i ordered a 42 pilot i also need to know how many turns on the pilot screw

155 or 160 main, then go from there..

A 155 and 160 is wayyy to rich for a stock exhaust. Go with a 152 main, 42 pilot might be rich for stock if it is go with a 40 pilot. Turn your screw out 3 turns.

What he said. 150/152 main and a 40 pilot will be plenty.

I had the same set up you did an put a 155 in with no problems. Might be a tad rich if it is really hot out like he said. JOhn

well if he's running rich then he can just turn the fuel screw in.

After putting on the K&N, rev box, HMF Bill Balance silencer, I am up to a 165 at 50 deg today, and it is really close, during the heat of the summer i suspect that the 160 will be the right one, though it will change with the new cam. We will see. :blah:
