Just got the new elka rear installed. Where for the love of god do you mount the rezzie? I have Tinner Scoops by the front fender so that is pretty much out of the question unless somebody has done it and has some pics to guide me. Also, tell me where you routed the hose. Im stumped.

I see alot of picture of quads with the rezzie on the frame, right by your right knee.

Got any room on the very front vertical frame tubes? I know Elka provides extremely long rezzy lines and this is about the only place I have seen it mounted on a 400.

I have scoops and a stabilizer so I have next to nothing up front in terms of space. Also, the rezzie is at a particular angle thats not very handy for any possible locations I have found.

I had mine up front for a while, but the line was heating up from running past the motor so I mounted it in the rear just behind the bat. box..I ran the line up over the airbox (between the rear plastics an the top of the box)an cut a rubber hose down the middle an put it over the line so it fit snug in there this way the hose won't where from rubbing anything..If your goin to do this just make sure you dont bend the line to much an kink it or pull it out of the shock or the rez

That would be ideal but I have my toolbox and the rectifier or whatever it is in the way. I have it on the opposite side of the subframe behind the exhaust. I don't think the silencer gets too hot. What are the opinions on that. My digi is junk so I can't get a picture right this second.
Its mounted right at the top hanger bolt area.

I would think it would get a little warm there, but you never know. The only way to find out is take it for a ride an check to see if the rez get s hot or not. let me know how you make out I'm wonderin myself.

Is the fade that bad when the rezzie heats up? If heat becomes a problem I guess I could find another spot or get some heat wrap. I really like the location of that rezzie by the battery.

if the line is long enough you do have space to mount it up front...i have a stabilizer and omf scoops and still had room for mine...if you need a pic i can get one tomorrow

Please get some pics because I tried both tubes on the front and it just wasn't working. The line is long enough but there just isn't the space with the tinners and the stabilizer stem bracket.

are you able to get a better picture of your mounting location fwm? I'd like to put mine there and the line lays perfect as does the rezzy, there just is not room witht the toolbox and other black jobby.

have you thought about mounting it in the air box

the thought crossed my mind actually. I was thinking bout making a small mounting bracket on the back of the airbox. I will be going to the garage so I am going to try some of the other options suggested on here.

Is that a custom cover over your battery or did you buy that somewhere?
