LT230S Shift Linkage Problem

The shift linkage on my LT230s keeps falling off at the magneto case. The whole thing seems kind of loose and wobbly, Do I not have the attachment to the shift bar set up right? Its just like a ball and cup setup I really dont under stand how it is suppose to stay there to begin with.

The shift linkage is worn out.The ball is supposed to stay in the socket or cup.I would imagine that part is discontinued from suzuki,try a warrior linkage as they have a similar set up,you can get it to work if your crafty;)
