I just saw the news and low and behold we had 2 jars of it. It contains salmonela

On the lid, the ink stamped code begins with 2111 If you have it, throw it out. The wife just opened a jar the other day and her and cody both had been sick but we chalked it up to the flu season etc. (stomach cramps, nausea etc)

be safe!

I work for an ambulance, and had a call about that today. The person claimed she was having symptoms of an allergic reaction. When asked if she was allergic to the peanut butter, she said no. i was concerned it could have been semonila,(sp), so maybe ill call the agency tonight, and let them know about this.

Thanks Pappy!!!

We had 2 jars too. One jar got too low that I couldn't dip crackers so I went for the 2nd one. Funny thing is it was about a week ago that I last had it and I was getting stomach cramps, etc. I've been fine since. Now, I am left to wonder. I am almost curious enough to try it one more time but then curiosity killed the cat. :eek2:

Does Wegmans do this? Cause I had to go home from scchool yesterday because I didnt feel good. And at the doctors I threw up in the bathroom and had bad diarehha (SP.) My mom thought it was from the peanut butter but it was Wegmans brand.

sure could. check the ink jet code and see what numbers are on it. also see who it was processed by. some companys contract out some of there products to other companys to make. they just put there label on it ( conagra may have made it but wegmans might have there label on it ). just look at the jar and see what it says.

hope this helped.

i reckon they will be praying for global warming:devil:

as hard as this stuff is, and the amount of spinning we have heard for the past two days (without them making it out) id say some new tires and a new transmission may be needed:chinese: hope they dont have to resort to eating peter pan peanut butter sandwiches till the spring thaw:eek:

02-16-2007, 06:29 PM
i gotta be honest...the first thing i thought of when i heard about all this peanut butter stuff was the urban legend about the husband having a surprise party for his wife...she came home...and i'll keep it pg rated here...but something to do with the family dog, and peanut butter, and people saying surprise etc etc...everyone else ever hear this one?

I went to my friends house last night and seen a peanut butter can on his counter seen that it started out with those numbers and sure enough he said his dad was in his room laid up sick as a dog. I wouldn't trust it.

Low and Behold after i posted that last post i started reading the paper like i always do at work before the day and there's the story about peanut butter on the front page. That's freakin' crazy! Our local grocery store is making a deal with people who bought that certain peanut butter and telling them if they brought it back they get a full refund plus a free can of PB for free.

haha
