I'd look into some Kenda Klaw XC's or maybe even the Kenda Radials. Can't beat kenda for the price!

I'm planning on trying on the Kenda Radial Rears with the Holeshot GNCC's up front. They seem like they would be a decent combo.

I know Steve, (Sjorge300ex) on here had the Klaw XC's in the rear and GNCC's in the front and he loved them.

I like the Holeshot xcr myself. They have very good traction. Great for woods riding. The GNCCs are nice too.

for trails i would get the klaws. they have a really good reversible tread design with great hook up on trails.

id go with kendas, klaws or gnarlys, i had the klaws on my 440 and i loved them, i just got a set of Knarlys for my 300. i dont know why you dont like the tread pattern, they hook up great so the pattern must be good, just remember looks arnt everything, you should be more conserned about perfermance, dont get me wrong holeshots are great tires but the price is rediculas not to mention the weight of HDs. you defanitly cant beat kenda for the price and performance, they are probably the best bang for the buck.

I have a set of 20in holeshots for the woods. Its hard to beat their traction in the soft stuff but they dont seem to last as long as i would like, probably due to their soft compound.I run the kenda claws for mx.:)

I have R/A and they are the best tire in my opinion. I have had them on for 2 years and i ride on the road everyday and they still have great hook up. The previous owner road it on a road a mile a day in the summer and he had the bike for 2 years and the tires still have 40-50% tread.

Loved this setup. i hav eused Razr II's,ITP XC', Klaw, and Stock 450r rear tires. The klaws are by far the best! Adam was right, I ran the GNCC/Klaw setup last year, but this year, since I am riding for Kenda, I will be using Klaw fronts with the Knarly Xc's. :)
