Im ready to order 2 rears but i cant decide...please help

my choices are the 4ply razrs, 6ply razrs, holeshot xcr or the holeshot xc. A friend told me he would never buy a 6ply tire because they ride so rough. I also dont want a tire that wears down as fast as the stock tires. Would you trade durability for ride comfort or vice versa. My decision will be made on which has both 50/50 durability and ride comfort. Also any other choices would help. opinions please:chinese:

depending on your riding style, razr2's are ther best long lastign tire. i had regular 4 ply razr's on mine last year and half way through the season they were garbage. 6plys do ridea a bit rougher but its not that bad, just let a bit of air out of the tires and your ride will improve alot. razr2's will be on the back of my quad this season.

Keep in mind im only trail riding and the trails have a variety of surfaces...clay, mud, grass, dry dirt and a few rocky areas. I just need the best all around tires. :chinese:

I have a set of 6 ply razrs that have about 4 years on them, 1/4 tread left on the rears. I can't really say how many hours I have on them..... but it's a decent amount. Everything from tracks to trails to occasional asphalt. I removed them to put on my wifes quad and I accidentaly bought a set of 4 ply razrs to replace the old ones. My first ride I cut a 3 inch gash in between the tread, had I still had 6 ply's I don't think it would have gone all the way through. I fixed that tire and don't really notice the difference in the ride comfort. but on a side note, www.rockymountainatv.com has the best deal on tires, 50-60 dollars each, and spend $100 or more in 1 order and shipping is free, so buy the tires and some chain lube or something and free shipping. I'll never get a 4ply again, they just don't hold up well enough.

6ply all the way. Anything else is too weak.

I love my Kenda Knarlys. I have yet to come accross a spot on the XC track that they didn't do great in... And for $50 a pop you can't beat them!

I wouldn't waste my money on anything less than 6 ply tires.

Tires are one of the main things on the quad. You might as well spend the lil extra money and get something thats gona last forever. I couldnt tell hardly any difference in roughness between my stockers and the razr 2's. My opinion is that while you buying them ya might as well go all out and get what ya want.

kenda knarly all the way. IMO best all around tire out there. they are 6 ply and hook up great everywhere.

Kenda has very nice tires and I love my razrs...only problem is a month after i got them I was in akransas riding and a rock slit the sidewall. Even though they say 6ply that is only for the surface that touches the ground the sides are 4ply.

Make sure you get the Knarly XC's though. I have the HT's on mine now, and they have very little side bite in the corners.:ermm:

just bought 6-ply razrs for the rear...they handle fairly well and seem to be very resistant to puncture

I think the razr 2's felt like I was on a flat. I run the 6 ply Irazr, very good and strong, they feel soft.
If you wnat your plain razr, I would go with the razr 1, the pro's race these so something is working.. JMO... :)

I have 4 ply razr's in the rear and have not had a problem with them. I do ride on the streets fairly well to get to trails and stuff and so far they have held up pretty good. no punctures flats or anything. 6 ply do last longer and have a better sidewall but just wanted to give you the other side besides all the 6 ply guys

Irazr is the way to go. from what i hear they have comfortable ride quality with a 6-ply rating so its the best of both worlds
