For atv's powermadds are O.K, I preffer aluminuim guards w/ hand sheilds, expecially for dirt bikes. The aluminuim ones protect your levers and there is nothing worse than a branch clipping your hand while riding. I have had instances where branches stick out about handlebar height and clip your hands and depending how fast you are going, it can hurt.

the things that go on the end of the bars are extensions. u have to buy them seprate.

i had that happen on my dirt bike a long time ago bfore i got this. it does hurt. it cracked my knuckle.
