stuck crankcases

I'm in the middle of tearing down one of my 400 motors and I can't get the cases split. I have not had trouble before on my other 400, 250r, or banshee cases when I did the bottom end in them, but this one is breaking my back just trying to figure something out. Let me know if anyone out there has an idea, thanks.

after spending the last 30 minutes getting intimate with it with a rubber mallet, it's starting to open up so its only a matter of time til I have it completely off.

I did a 2 stroke case and my problem was the bearing was stuck in the case. If you have all the right tools, not as big a problem, I didn't have all the right tools.
