aprilia is a Top of the line company, thier craftsmanship is amazing. they have gotten 250cc 2 stroke motors up to 100 horsepower!! a good example of what a company can do if they keep putting r&d into the 2 stroke powerplant. 2 strokes are still very popular in europe, but they also have much better quality fuels than we have here, so they burn a lot cleaner. I read another article that thier 500cc 2 strokes were stupid fast, even for a professional.

It's frustratingly ironic how after the 2stroke numbered and then ended the days of the 4stroke revolution the fcuknig emissions control organizations numbered the days of the 2stroke - a body completely outside the scope of racing. It should be sad to everyone who hasn't been duped into thinking 4strokes are back for performance reasons. lol

lol yeah 4 strokes just arnt much fun....i alwasy cant beleive they got 100 horse out of a 250 2 stroke...is that a single or twin? even if its a twin thats amazing...but people just dont want that anymore...4 strokes are here to stay but they didnt earn their spot, it was given to them

Ya it is sad to see the departure of 2 strokes, im a avid snowmobiler and i see the same 4 stroke takeover tryin to take place and it makes me sick...i thought i would only have to go through that hell ounce... but i think it will take a few more years before the snowmobile industry is converted.

i really dont know what is going to happen with the snowmoblie world...the only way 4 strokes would take over snocross is if they banned the 2 stroke 800s and 600s... but ski doo and everyone is still into developing the 2 stroke motor and they have them burning alot cleaner...

as far as HP numbers go, seeing Cats new F8 put out 145 HP stock is impressive, i dont see a 4 stroke doing that without a turbo...but we will see

If they did get the 4 stroke to produce that much HP, how long you think it will last, or should I say how long will the owners money last trying to keep it running.
