I was thinking about buying a KTM LC4 engine and putting it in a banshee frame or something just wondering if someone used the same type of engine and frame combo and if it would be worth it or not.I'm not wanting to race it, just trail riding. I figure it would be kinda fun and cheaper than buying a new race bike but still having something nice.

i dont know if i'd put it in a banshee frame. i'd prolly look more into a 250r frame.

i wouldnt recomend it. especially if your not racing. you will spend way to much time on just maintaining the bike for no real reason just save up the extra cash and get a stock 450 trust me its worth it

most hybrids put out more hp stock than most production 450's with very little maintainance, other than your oil changes, theres really nothing to it and IMO my hybrid is one of the most reliable bikes i have ever owned

if your really set on the banshee frame i would say go for it, but if not find a 250r/ 400ex frame as that is what most guys do their conversions from

I'm not really set on the banshee frame it's just you can find them cheap. I'm really open to any 4 stroke engine as long as it's a good deal and a decent frame. If any of you got a frame or engine let me know.I'll start a thread in the wanted section too.

i would go with a shee frame there is a TON of room to work with and itd be pretty different its always cool to have something that is one off, everyone has a 400ex or 250r framed hybrid, but ive only seen 2 banshees with thumpers in them

If you're going to spend the money to buid a hybrid, make sure you have a very big bank account with more than you think you will need, some fab skills, and start with a better platform than a banshee frame JMO
