I dont know stock for stock, but my zilla smokes everything except very modded banshees. even crf 250's and 450's. mods are in sig. my zilla has gobs of low end power, although it does not rev very high like the new 4 strokes

There is really no comparison. The 500 was a 500cc powervalved 2-stroke and the 450 is just a 450 thumper. A weak one at that. I miss my old 500. I thought it would be cool to start racing MX again on a Suzuki since my first MX bike was the 500. I decided to stick with the WR and try XC and trail riding. The 450 was a big let-down.

Twlies , how is the LTR being received that side ?, Because here in south africa they are giving the bikes stick .
we never got 250R's , and apart from the Trx and Yfz , the Ltr pretty much smokes everything in its path .

Im a honda man , so I am always Glad to see Natalie giving them hell On the 450 honda's , but Im nterested as to why you say the LTr is a bit of a Let down ?

Thanks .

You obviously got a different LTR in South Africa. I rode one when they first got to the dealerships here with the full Yoshi pipe, airbox lid off, and cherry bomb. Thats was supposed to be the basic set-up and be around 45-50 HP. It had less power than our stock 04 450R (32ish) and took way too long to wind out through the 2nd and 3rd gears. My wife works there and I didn't really take it easy on it, but what I saw then was enough for me. I don't doubt that with some motorwork and fuelinjection tuning they would be great but the one I rode wasn't going to even try to compete with any 250 2-stroke or any of the other 450's. A Banshee and 500 wouldn't be a contest. Racing localy around here the Suzuki's are in the back. Honda and Yamaha still make the best motor for the average rider/racer.
