check your fuses. then check the wires.

the fuses are good and the wires are good. it makes one click noise and then nothing.

will it jump start if you push it down a hill or tow it and is the battery charged enough?

I would see that it does turn over by push starting it.

Your motor could be locked up?

If you jump across the Solenoid and it still wont start like you said that eliminates that! its Good

Other wise if you hook a battery charger to starter directly and it wont turn over your starter could be junk, or the idler gears bolts came loose?

Direct 12v power to Starter shoudl get it to turn!

Did you charge the new battery?Hook a charger up to it in the quad.If it starts after you let it charge some, then fully charge the battery. My battery drains really fast when its cold and the quad has sat for awhile.I Only get about 3 or 4 rolls before it starts to die.

i made for sure the battery had at least 13 volts, i tryed to roll it over but it still seems the starter doesnt want want to turn. it makes one click and nothing still, i got mad and kept hit the start button repeatedly and after like 10 times the starter turn just barely. so theres some more deatails.

Will it start if you pull start it if not your crank bearings are gone. If it does start it sounds like the starter.

Its the starter relay switch ,it is located next to the battery.. Had the same problem and drove me crazy, cheap fix and you can do it your self.. If you need something to go by to find it...Look up Yamaha of Troy and go to oem parts finder it will show everything in detail..

What going on OLD-XC-GUY. Yeah tried it out..works good. I was thinking about mounting a chainsaw to it so I could just cut the trees down when I slam into them. You get that clutch fixed?

Yeah , did that and droped to a 14 tooth . Going to put a new cable on this week and some ASV levers I also bout the lower easy pull lever of of e-bay.. Hope it all makes a difference working together.. This is my last stock clutch ! Buying a full Hinson kit if this one burns up.

I think Im going to Flat River Sunday, figured it wouldnt be muddy there. Your welcome to go if you want , I would guess Im taking my enclosed trailer.

i believe the starter itself is actually the problem. pull it off with another fourwheeler to see if the motor turns over and if it does you can eliminate that problem.

im having the same problem... kinda... mine just clicks and continues clicking. I think i heard someone say that it may have been my selinoid (sp) considering it was around that area and that my battery is fully charged any ideas wat mine could be?
