Ive got some Jd performance + 3's I will be running with 4:1 offset rims. I will have the stockers revalved from derisi with his ZPS setup. This is for an 05 450r

My goal was to be right at 50 to pass the 50inch bar. Is this setup going to do it without going over??

It would be just under 50 inches, or 50 inches.

Thats what I was thinking. I just dont want to put them off only to have to tear them back off to downsize

IF they are true +3's they will be over, I think JD's are only +2 5/8 though....

Thats not what I want to hear. You getting confused with JB racing which are 2 3/8's.

edit: too early to do math sorry!

ok well stock they are 46.3 put 4:1's on and your at 44.3, with +3's is 50.3.... hmmm but that would be with stock suspension, once it sits lower with ZPS shocks....

I know my buddy has +2.5 lonestar DC4's and he had to go buy 4:1 rims at unadilla to make it through the 50" gate... even then it scraped powdercoat off the rims...

The fronts are usually more narrow then the back. My front width without me sitting on it is 44. I figured add 6 inches and another inch for the ZPS setup. so 51 inches. Subtract 2 for the 4:1 and your at 49.

I think your going to need to add more than 1" for ZPS especially with the rider on it....

Your going to be cutting it reallly close... are you sure they are definitely +3 arms?

i dont race so i dont know this for sure but couldnt you just raise the ride height before you go through the poles then set them back down at the staging lane, its just a suspension adjustment like setting the comp.

What a Pain in the *****.... who wants to do that? sometimes I dont think there is even enough time to do that... There might even be a rule against it but not sure...

Got a message back from dave.

With +3s it will be over 50". If you dont want to be over that. you need to use 4-1 inset wheels. [using this combo is actually the best geometry possible]

Still kind of worried I will go over.

just a thought, zps can be adjusted pretty easily if they have clips like peps

at nationals you can go through tech on fri. afternoon usually.

put alot of air in your front tires. if you have adjustable lower ball joints you can tigten them in so the bottom of the tires fits through. the gate you go through is only about 4-5 inches high.

Ive put my +3's for sale. I cant risk going over. Plus Ive found a decent deal on some +2's. I'd still like some more input. I'm waiting to hear back from dave again.

Your lower balljoints should be adjusted all of the way in already, so that wont help. You could try adjusting yoru uppers out a little to straighten the tires out, you would gain minimal at best, and you effectively lost all of your camber....

Why not just set it up correct the first time and not worry about it?

What camber angle are you running? Doesn't look like much at all... that would be why.
