As I strolled threw the pits and spoke to some of the riders, alot of the same topic was talked about

Passing Sound Inspection and RAIN

A few of the riders I had spoken with had some issues getting there exhaust to pass DB's that are now required to be at a 99 DB or lower. Even a few of the mini riders stressed to get dialed in before Sat. racing.
The top Pro and Pro Am riders also have to pass the sound check at the end of the Pro/Pro Am main event on Sunday .

Round 2 came very quickly this season with only 2 weeks since the opening round in Phoenix AZ. Round 2 had a spectacular amount of race entries this year with 520 entries.

I could tell almost instantly from the 1st few laps of practice who frequents the track alot
:D
I took a great deal of photos from the Friday practice in fears we may have a soggy wk end.
Before I start some of the racing Coverage, I thought I would throw in a few fun shots I took.

I may have to reserve more Fridays for the "fun and less stress pics day"

Pro Rider #114 Jeremy Schell - from Murrieta, Ca.

My main focus for round 2 was the Pro Am .

I wanted to meet with a few of the riders and do some trackside LIVE interviews this past wk end as I will be doing each and every round.
I got to sit down with OffRoad.com's #1A Justin Waters from Joseph, Oregon .
We talked a little bit about his upcoming season goals and a little rider history which will be posted in the inverview section shortly.
Justin's family is very supportive of his racing as well as the WORCS series .

#35t Pro Am rider Andrew Lattimar from Enumclaw, WA. was also an Interviewed rider .

Justin and Andrew put on some good battles in Pro Am so the season should be an exciting one between these two!

The weather seemed to take a quick turn for the better in sunday main event .The 1st 3 races of the day was not as lucky as a brief but heavy down pour hit .
A 130+ foot step up was added to the Pro/Pro Am main so with all the mud this would be an exciting race to see!

Flag drops and there off!
The holeshot was tight with nearly all riders into the whole at once leaving three riders to tangle as everyone funnels into the corner and over the 1st tabletop. The holeshot gets a mix of calls - Snow or Bennett from the announcer but its not an official call until later it appears that Bennett would take the holeshot.

#49 Dillon Zimmerman and #61 Dax Snow out front with Zimmerman making up some good time and gaining a few positions by the 2nd lap.

It was unfortunate for Lattimar and Waters this would would not be the race to see some battles for these two as both had some mechanical problems .
Justin Waters a DNF into the 1st lap even after a mad dash to the pit and back into the field to do a quick repair on his clutch that cost him some valuable time to get enough laps in to avoid a DNF.
Lattimar was abld to ge in enough laps to at least complete without a DNF placing 14th in Pro Am.

Thanks for the great coverage. Sorry I didn't get to come say hi.
Due to an error in judgement, I was airlifted out on Saturday afternoon and didn't get back until after midnight.

I was excited to see James made the Pro-Am when I returned. This was his first Pro-Am, so we are all very excited for him.
Congrats James! See you at round three!

I'm ok. My lower jaw is wired, I have some damage to my lower teeth (lost 1) and about a hundred stitches in my chin.

The Stitches will come out in a few days, and we are working on getting my teeth repaired. I'm on a liquid diet, but I can stand to loose a few pounds, so thats not such a bad thing. Luckily the EMT's and Dr.'s did an excellent job. In a few weeks you probably won't even be able to see the scar.

Brendan fell in the shower Tuesday night and ended up with a few stitches on his chin too. What can you do? Like Father, like Son... At least we have a few weeks to heal up before Havasu...

Speedy recovery and Im glad to hear your OK.

Can you give us some info on exactly what happened?!!

I really don't know what happened, I've been talking to Patty Waters because she had some shots of me sitting on a hay bale after the accident, and a few others that were in the area. I was trying to clear the step up in the back part of the track and must have come up short. I thought I overshot the landing, but they tell me I probably cased on the lip of the upper jump. All I know is my suspension did not compress at all. This leads me to believe that they are probably right. I didn't see it coming. I am fortunate that I wasn't hurt seriously, and very thankful that they have so many people to watch out for us when we are out there. The EMT's really worked overtime last weekend.
