About to install cam chain any last minute tips?

The title pretty much says it all.

I have already pulled the side off, and I have my cam chain and gasket. What exactly do I need to do? Remove the clutch and a gear?

before you put the clutch back in, get the chain set and adjust the valves. then roll the motor over by hand a few times and recheck the cam is set right and your lash is right. recheck a few times if you need too. After I got mine all back together I found I was off a tooth and need to redo it, wish I had rechecked it before putting it all together.:mad:

How do you know if the timing is right? Also I dont have my cylinder on right now. Should I wait until I have it on before I install the cam chain? I planned to re-assemble the engine, when I get it back in the frame that way I can get accurate torque specs.
