hey guys, I just got my 86 ATC back on the ice this weekend after covering it up with a tarp and sticking it under the deck back in 1997. To my surprise she started right up and runs pretty well, some barrings and seals needed work and all the shocks need a rebuild but it sure was fun riding after a 10 year brake.

I am using 18 inch ice tires with studs and a 13/39 sprocket. The motor is pretty much stock. What size sprockets should I go with to help get more top speed.

the engine should pull the trike well with a 14/38 gearing. with a couple of bolt on's it should pull well with a 14/36

mine pulls 14/36 with ease, my friends(alot less modified) pulls 14/39 without problem. My old one, pulled 14/38 on 20" easily, it was a stock motor w/ pipe, carb and reeds.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try a 14/39 and I also have a 38 on my TRX I can try. This thing is completely stock, motor,carb and pipe. I'll be working on motor stuff later.
