build up...what would you do?

I am getting a 400ex rolling chassis w/o tires on it or motor. I'd like make it into a screamer for a reasonable price. Would you guys get a blown up 400ex motor and work it up, the honda XR650L or attempt to fab a cbr 600 into it. right now my options are open and it won't be my primary quad. give me some ideas, thanks.

I think i would try either the 650 4 storke or the cbr 600. If your going to do it i wouold at least make it a challenge. Maybe thats just me though.

A 600 project on here not long ago indicated stuffing that motor into an EX frame required quite a few mods, including modding the gas tank to fit around the valve cover.

i might would go 2 stroke just because it would be cheaper to build and i think would be pretty trick, 250r or banshee have no idea what trouble it would be though.

deff the xr motor, you can move adjust the gas tank with a heatgun and a spoon. too much heat and it'll turn shiney and that can damage the tank

Street bike would be pretty trick, hope you got a welder and can stiffen up the frame alot since those new 600 motors are making around 100hp.. hell get the new Kaw 1400cc... stuff that in there.. no need for a heater seat in the winter, u could just sit on the valve cover.
But for real, i think if u could get a 650xl motor and stuff that in the frame that would be sweet. I remember seeing somewhere people using that 650 motor( maybe dirtwheels mag ?) i dont remember.. but sounds like something honda shoulda done already.

I've got my primary ex built pretty good now I want a screamer that can't be touched in the drags.

how about build a real hgybrid.... call lonestar have them build u a frame for a 400ex with crf 450 motor and exhaust. u will have a scik fourwheeler. do u wnabht to have a mutt? haveing yamaha in youtr honda.... trhats gross. honda on honda. for 2g u can buy a brand new 1
