if i ride at wot for very long across a field or something it will cut out. if you back off the throttle a little it will go again. i think it just runs out of fuel in the carb. i dont know much about carbs so im lookin for suggestions. it has been rejetted for a big gun exhaust. (this was done before i got it.)

thanks

sure you arent hitting the rev limiter? try cleaning the fuel filter

its not the rev limiter. it acts like you shut the key off for a second. its not rapid like the rev limiter. ill check out the filter.

Your too rich whats the jetting at? Put in a 42 pilot and if its a full exhaust put in a 160 main with a aftermarket filter or if it's a slip-on start at a 155 main with a aftermarket filter.

thanks for the suggestions. i know you guys know more about it than me but it seems like maybe the fuel bounces out of the carb cuz it seems like it only happens on rough areas. is this possible? it runs fine otherwise just cuts out every once in a while. i have the full pipe and a k&n also (lid on). i dont know what the carb has in it now.

The gas can come out of the tube on the bottom of the carb when riding but wont cause harm. What color is the plug? I bet its blackish.

Stock jet im think might be a 142.

if you have the lid on then try a 155 or 160 main that will get you close.

How long you holding it wide open?

You could be messing something up internely.

I would suggest only holding it wide open for 5 secs at most.

about 10 seconds or so. but the engine isnt up to full rpm if thats what your talking about. it pulls harder driving across some fields so it doesnt get up to full rpm.
