I just finished putting my plastic back on and i realized i did not put the two rubber pieces back on, the one under the gas tank and the one in front under the hood. Or those two pieces inmportant or they mainly for looks from honda? If they are important i guess i will pull the plastic back off and put them on if not i will put put them in my box and put them on next time (hopefully i remember next time).

I just want you all honest opinion.

as many times i have had my bike apart. i dont have any clue what rubber pieces your talking about. but i would put them on so i wouldnt forget to put them back on the next time i had them off. (little motto) any job worth doing is worth doing twice.

I think i know which rubber pieces your talking about. If it's the same one's im thinking of they are really thin and long. I think there just for dust protection for your carb & electrical under the hood.

I wouldn't ditch them, but I would put them back on next time you have it apart...

Also Honda proabably put them there for a reason.

yea i am sure honda put them there for a reason, they are dumb when they build a bike, what reason is it that they are there, is my question?

they put them there for water/dust covers--- but water and dust still are underneath and above them--- so they do no good--they are about as useful as the cheap rubber covers on the 400ex battery box.

i agree with that, and i was figuring they were for dust but dust dirt mudd water are still getting in those places. They only way you might keep those places clean is putting htem in a sealed bag but that impossible.
