Ok, so since I'm in the midst of totally revamping my 250, i figure i'll spring for some different handlebars. At 5'11 and 160 lbs, I'm not an ideal fit on the 250.

My biggest problem is that I have to lean forward some when i'm standing. I feel like this doesn't put my body (i.e my weight) where it should be, for example getting ready for a jump.

Basically what i'm looking for is something that will be very close to the stock bend, just taller. I guess a straighter bend could work if i angled it so that the throttle/brake levers were in similiar spots. just need something taller.

I dont particularly care about strength, I've managed to keep my stock bars unmangled.

Suggestions?

i am actually a pro taper fan because of the looks and price. is price a factor? if not, maybe look into a 400ex bend with some rox risers to gain another couple of inches. stock 400ex bars are very close to stock 250 bars. my dad has renthals with i think a cr double high bend and they're also very nice. they're about the same height as stock but with much less of a sweep.

lol, i love my taper's one reason, looks, feel, and strength( there have been countless arguments that u do not want too strong of handlebar's because it will bend your stem, but i do not allways want to keep buying bars) And no i do not have riser's but ryan said he might get riser's, so i said you might have to buy extended lines to compensate(sp) for the extra height

how tall are you guys? Its cool that you're making recommendations but if some of you are like 5'2 and 90 lbs wet and telling me to get X series bar it doesn't do me much good :eek2:

Pro Taper SE XR50 bend is about the same as the stock bars, maybe 1" shorter in total end to end width. They rise is 171mm, just about 6.75".
