spark arrester q's

will anything damageing happen to my 2005 TRX 500 foreman quad if i remove the spark arrester and re jett it? could i notice any power gains??
also does any body know if i can get a diff locker kit for my quad

i would say if u rejet it properly no it wont damage the valves and not very much power gain
