400ex shocks

i have a set of 400ex stock shocks and they have blue springs and my buddy has a 400 with red shocks .... whats the deal
and there the same dimensions ???

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but all stock 400ex shock springs are red.

Yours are more than likely aftermarket or have been powdercoated by the previous owner.
