I finally got my Cheng shins out this weekend and they hooked up really well. I put 1/2" Kold Kutter screws in every other knob.

I put self taping screws in my claws and the worked awsome this weekend. I could even lift the front of the 300 on the lake. My brother inlaw put the same screws in the tires of his klx300r we raced on the lake but the dirtbike has me all the way even top end but not by a whole lot les the 10 bikes LOL

We used self tappers before too, huge mistake, they will round off eventually and be useless.

I considered putting one in every knob but I don't want to stud my front and suffer steering. I can still pull the front end off in 4th but it slips a bit first.

No, that's why I didn't stud every knob that way I can steer pretty well, I also have razr II's on the front so if theres' a bit of snow it helps quite a bit but on glare Ice i'll probably be screwed.

You will definitely be "screwed" haha sorry, why not just stud up the fronts?

I have holeshot MX 20x6x10s on the front with 6 screws in each lug, but they are big lugs too, and I have turf tamer 18's on back with 4 in each lug.

same here but it think i used a box of 1000 and split it between both rears so 500 in each rear
and 250 in each front

i like to use a little silicon on the threads, then screw it in and let them set up and it seem to hold studs longer
