Ready to kick off the 2007 Season?

Well, the Mid East Crew is pumped to get this thing going. It is getting close to time to kick off the 2007 Season with the Mid East Series. We have been dialing in our new scoring system, cutting color tags and getting plaques ordered for the start of this season and we can't wait.
We hope everyone has their quads in order and is ready to head to Bishopville for some hard core racing!

i've been ready !! sad thing is my body isn't. i'm gonna give em hell at bishopville as long as i can hold on to it. i hated that place last year but this is a whole new year and i got better suspension and a new pair of white boots. it was the boots that held be back last year.... :D

jeff got an invite this morning to go with some guys to pilot mountain and called me, so me my bro bryson and his bro tagged along.. that was some of the steepest chit i've went up and down in along time.. there was another guy there called gump, who would of thunk it ?? :D

And all this talk about the upcoming race is making me so excited I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight. I have been dreaming about racing when I do go to sleep. One dream I fell asleep in the woods and when I got to the start line everyone was already gone. Then I dreamed just a few nights ago that I was racing my daughter's Predator 90 and it wouldn't go fast enough LOL!

boy that was a wild ride today wasn't it ?? i've never seen a track go away that fast before. muddy goggles, fogged up goggles, fogged up glasses, then no goggles then no glasses, had to hang them on the tip of my nose and look over them, which made me one blind mofo. went to follow one guy and he was stuck and i couldn't see that and i hit him then we were both stuck. hell i got stuck more than jakes arse today.... :D

It was fun and looking forward to the next one...with a properly positioned thumb throttle I can actually push:D and better tires! Lesson learned: adjustments made sitting on your quad in the garage don't always translate to actual trail conditions.

I would like to thank all the fine folkes in the senior class that wated for me to catch up.. I was so surprised to get a top 5 finish on a bone stock '99 400 ex with all those new high dollar rides I saw on the line..What a great day. Hope to see every one at the next one.. maybe a few less whoops and water.. the sand was cool till it disappeared when it got wet.. I have never seen a 7 mile long rutt before.



ps.. I hope to ride the dike a couple races this year.. Maybe do a little Iron man... run both..

I am sure Ron would like to thank the kids who heard him yelling after 45 minutes of waiting to be towed off the track and got a track official to come. He couldn't get his to start back in the middle of lap 2.

i did get help from one guy, must have been a bike rider cause he had on fairly clean green grear on and probably didn't know i was gump or he would have left me there.. :confused: thanks dude you helped me take 6th place back from big jim... kenny gwynn was that trash talk you were talking when you came around me when i was stuck ?? i still had fun and felt alot better and had more energy than i thought i would have at that track. but i still have more work to do. was 3rd on the start and took an outside line about a half mile into the race which turned out to be the wrong line and went back to 6th in a matter of seconds. but the good news is i felt better than i ever have at the beginning of the year and i have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see if i can afford eye surgery so i won't have to deal with glasses anymore... :D

Poor Gump, that's just wrong how they do you! I would have helped you if I had seen you...Hope they can do the eye surgery for you. I know I had sand still coming out of my eyes after a shower last night. We have been cleaning quads and you can still hear sand grinding in the rotors. Guess we will have to take stuff apart.

well i won't be running the ga race, but will be there to cheer you guys on if i can see by then.. having my laser eye surgery thursday. couldn't do it next week so i'm doing it this week that way i can make rockhouse and put a whooping on kenny gywnn for talking chit to me while i was stuck.... :D just kidding kenny..

christenbury is doing mine, dr davis in morganton was cheaper but he uses the blade so i went with christenbury, he wants to do implants but that's 8 grand this is only $3600, may still need reading glasses tho...

I hope all goes well with the eye thing,, But I think you should know that I did manage to work out one day this week.. I hope that will be enough to hold you off,, If I can ever get the jump on you at the line.. The 450 is back in one piece.. But I did so good on the old 400 I might ride it again.. No power .leaves more energy for the end of the race..

got some good news and some bad news, jeff is not totally out of racing this year, doc said he could put a screw in his shoulder or he could just let the tendons and stuff heal and he should be ok.. his shoulder did wind up having a break in the end of it.
the bad news is he might be back kicking my arse sooner than expected... just glad it wasn't as bad as the er doc made it out to be jeff !!!!

Jeff I hope you heal soon. I know how you feel. I crashed at Brushy in Janurary and separated my shoulder too. 1 doc wanted to do surgery and put a screw in it and another said it would heal on its own. I went with the second option. After two months I have most of the motion back in my shoulder, but its still not 100%. Hopefull get back in April. Good Luck
