400ex suspension

alright i got a question, i got a 400ex that im going to race flat track with, well instead of just making a lowering kit for it i was just going to buy a set of 250ex shocks they are right around 11 1/2 from eye to eye and my stock shocks are about 16 eye to eye do you think that the 250 shocks will make it to low and make my a-arm lean to far up????

try taking off your shocks and cut a stick to 11 1/2 inch and put the stick in there where the shock gos and see what it looks like

ive used 300ex shocks and i though they worked pretty good..im not sure of the size diff between them....

Mainly Shadtree and Lawrence county, but we will prolly be racing at blairsville and the butler fair....

really i race lawrence and butler fair grounds too im gonna try slippery rock dunes this yr..o by the way im from ellwood city its near new castle ... did u race last yr on a 400?

yeah just at the fair i was on the yellow one #14

i know there arnt many 400ex there me and my buddy are pretty much the only ones there.my buddy either wins or comes damn close to winnin every time. he has a stock yellow 400 with homemade lowerin kits front and rear w/cut fenders i think his number is 23 he raced both stock and mod. i raced acouple races but i had clutch problems like all year so i didnt do too well i got one second place at lawrence but it was in a foot of mud..

300ex shocks work much better the 250ex. we use 300ex shocks on the front of the drag quad. works well. ibelieve 250ex shocks are too small someone correct me if im wrong....
