ho do i go about cutting my fenders on an 05 with reverse. i also need pics fron the front and back of the fender to know just where to cut. thanks for your help.

get a jigsaw, or grinder, mark where you want the cut exactly with some tape, cut along the line, sand the edges of the chopped up end, then use a lighter along the whole edge and it makes it like it were never cut

easy as pie

you can cut your fenders how ever you want its just prefrence. search on this site and look at how other people cut there fenders to get an idea of how you want to do it.

ida400ex, I just cut mine this a.m. they came out nice w/ a dremal tool. I was hoping to see you cut yours up 1st, the hardest part was getting the nerve to start cutting!!!!!!!!

Can you post more oics of those two ex's? im thinking of doing the same thing to my 05 and just want to see what it looks like from different angles.

Your welcome, I took a little ride after and the difference being able to see those front tires is AMAZING.It was a really easy, if you need more pics in the future I think I might have some. :D

i dont know how to post pics. but i shaved mine front and rear. the thing to remember is once its cut its done. i made my lines with tape and cut an inch out from that tape. then i fine tuned it from there. its better to cut not enough than to much. i cut my fronts first and got them like i liked them with a utility knife and sand paper. then i did the back with a jigsaw. but i stood in front of the bike so i could lay my lines on the back. i made front and back fenders same width so it wouldnt look funny. it makes yah nervous at first but when its all done it great. kinda like gettin laid for the first time. when your done you feel like a real man. :D

I couldn't have said it better my self, Hey about the not being able to post pics theres a awesome write up in the HOW TO section, it helped me out a lot.
