I saw this quad at the ice races tonight. It started out as a 400EX and ended up with a gsxr1000 engine! The guy says it'll do 87MPH in 1st gear!

holy nerfs. i know stock 600's will do like 90 in first, so i bet it'll go more than 87, but it is in a quad frame so idk. looks pretty nicely built from that pic.

Ya i saw that last year at the ice races here. Didnt do to great on the ice tho. Might sound sweet and what not but it cant get any traction at all.

It was actually quite the opposite. He had excellent traction, about the same as everyone else. He did quite well in the races, up front in the top 3 in the heat. He would have done better in the feature but someone slammed into him. He must have it set up better now?

I was there to last night. Pretty exciting to say the least. That guy on the orange and black eastcoast atv 450R didnt deserve to be on the track though. He didnt know how to ride. you dont slam into the back of people goin into a turn. At least he got his when that kid on the blue banshee decked him in the face after he took him out in turn 3 in the last heat race.

Yeah that was pretty good. But nothing beath the "fight" that erupted after the barstool race was over. That was hilarious!

theres a guy that works at team industries in here bagley that did something similar to that but for oval dirt track... started witha 250R, put a 750cc engine (i think, its been a while since i've seen it) in it then eventually made a square tube aluminum fram for it thats offset if i remember right, hda stock length left a arms custom widened right side and similar set up in the rear with the axle and the offsets on the rims... last time i saw it he got stickers made that looked just like the 250R stickers that say 750R (or whatever size that the engine is... wish i could remember)

LOL yeah but the fight after the barstool race wasnt a real fight. the fight between the kid on the banshee and kid on the 450r was a real fight lol.

I thought the pro bikes were amazing to. those guys are super fast on ice.

That's what was so hilarious about it! Those guys put on a great show, cutting through the center to get ahead of the other racers, riding side by side to block the guys behind them and the rest of their antics. Nobody knew who really won at the end because everybody was cheating........ Those were the same riders that rode the pro bikes weren't they?
