Need some help with transmission

i have a 2007 250ex and it wont go in to reverse so i need some ideas and where the arrow is pointing is where the reverse lever is i pull that in and shift down but its locked up but it will go to 5fth and backto neutral but not reverse HELP

I would say it is not a tranny issue but rather a linkage issue.

Follow that lever until it ends it may be stuck or pinched off. If its a cable then try to put oil down it. I dont really know what a 250ex does to get into reverse but thats what i would do.
