The Z400 was the hottest thing out when it was released, just as the new kawi looks to be....thats suzuki's and kawi's game plan. Wait to see what the competiton has then build a better machine, just only kawi waited longest this time and might come out on top....

Actually, Kawasaki will not be the last to the party.....Expect Can-Am to unveil their 450 this year as well, and afther the release of the 525 later this year, KTM should have their 450 finalized next year...

6 Quads available for the 450 class....wow, in 1998 the Huge news was the impending release of the 400ex!!

Does anyone know for sure how long it will be before they'll actually be sitting on display at dealerships? I've read the first models are basicly called for by who's pre-ordered them. And that dealerships are getting a limited amount at a time. In that case... I need to find out who ordered the first one from our dealership...

I talked this past weekend (yesterday) with Jimmy White at the Indy dealer show. He said that they are in shipment from Japan now. He thinks that they should be at the dealer by the middle of March at the latest. They just did get theres on Friday. I would think that they are at the top of the food chain on shipments and the rest of the US will follow some time later.
I asked what about the pic's that are on on different wedsites. He said that they are real, but that was all. So, I guess that we have to read between the lines on how they got out, an who took them.

Why do we pay the dealers to put these things together if they are already put together?

Well i can give you a couple of reasons. The dealers have to

1. Add oil, PDI Pre delivery inspection and other minor assembly.

2. Alot of dealer pay another company to do the above stuff before they arrive at the dealership.

So the dealers do have some cost in putting the bike together, but not $500.00 to $1000.00 like some dealers try to rob you for.

Most Dealers Build There Own Units. The Cost Is The Person That Uncrates The Quad.Ck Fluids,Juce The Battery. Some Dealers Do What We Call Backdoor People. They Charge Less For The Quad. But Charge DoubleSet Up And Frieght.

Hondas come with all the fluids already in the bike or quad. Quads are assembled just like the Kawi shown here. Bikes do require some work, handle bars and usually the front wheel. It's just a way for dealers to make money, but most of them will waive the set-up charge. They usually get the first time buyers who don't know any better.
