What ignition system to run on a mild 250R?

My buddy is looking to change out the stock ignition on my old 89 250R, something is shot and it wont fire so he wants to change everything. what do you guys recomend for ignitions? lights arent a must but would be nice, its going to be mostly trail riden, but is definately riden hard.

Your best bet is buy new oem.

all 89 stuff is still available. I bought them not too long ago. Go to ricky stator for the stator.

I have a very low hour OEM Honda 1989 250R stator and flywheel for sale for $200 shipped. These parts are basicly brand new, they have sat on my spare motor that I built with new parts Have pics if you like. alot cheaper then new from Honda and just as good.

I've been having really good luck with a Dyna FS single curve ignition box. Bought mine from Colby at C&D around $100 nice mod for the money. Stronger spark and a more adgressive ign. curve.
