400ex frame cracks

While taking apart my quad (2002 400ex) to begin the motor building process. I noticed a crack in the frame, where the big bolt goes across the top of the cylinder. Directly under the white plastic that resides under the gas tank. Anyone else had this problem. Not too big of a deal because it is now fixed I was just wondering if anyone had run into this problem before?

i have an 2001 400ex and i noticed the same crack. i was wondering what u did to fix it? thank you

well if its really bad have it welded, but mine wasnt too bad so i just would have left it even thoguh i got a diffrent frame since then. also the bolt was bent and the valve cover cracked on mine

my frame is cracked all the way through. i took it to a honda dealer wherei bought it from and they said that since i didnt buy the extended warranty and since i have nerf bars and an exhaust and cut fenders honda will nothing about it. i do not race and take very well careof it and they will do nothing about it.
