Oil Change?

Hey all,

Just wondering how often I should change my oil? Every 10, 20, 30,....etc. hours? Without getting into an oil brand arguement, lets just say I use a 10w-40 synthetic oil.

i change mine every 10 hours.

I change my oil every 10-12 hours I also change my oil filter as well.

I change mine every 5-10 hours depending on how harsh i am to the motor.

Am I crazy or you guys acually change your oil more than you take a leak. That sounds unreasonable!!!!! You really need to change your oil that often? Wow I only change mine bout every 20-30... :(

I couldn't afford to change my oil that often!!!

Stock quads dont need it changed that often...it certainly wont hurt your quad to do so, but it may hurt your wallet.

On the other hand, modded engines (like mine) REQUIRE you change your oil frequently. I change after two hard rides--which equals around 10 hours--and trust me, the oil is spent at that point. I change my oil filter every other oil change.

I wont get into the synthetic vs regular oil or brand debate. Anything is good, just change it more often than you might think...it and air are the only things keeping your 400EX cool !!!

I change mine every 20-30 hours also. I am running 15w50 synthetic right now. Winter time it will be 10w30.

I change mine every 15 hours, and the oil filter every time. I use Bel-Ray 20w-50 year round since I store the machine in a heated building. :)
