THE TURN DOWN ON THE OLD ONES USE TO... i just cut the turn down off and left it straight worked well... i caught it a few times and it would rin the whole canister off... it is alot louder when you cut the turn down off... so loud that i hated it

Aye it's the older model of the x-4 turndown's that used to extend past the grab bar. I shortened the can by 2" to clearance it. Then put in a better sound dampening packing.. to help counter the shorter cans dB increase.

Also a note: mine's the origional run of ceramic coated pipes that rusted. He uses a newer ceramic coating now that works much better.

Here's a pic of mine.. it used to stick out 2" further than it shows in this pic. (Wow is that a bad picture.. lol.) The pipe is much cleaner that that.. lol. The shadows are doing funky things there.. label is actualy perfectly flush, etc.. lol)

Before shortening the tip was basically right at the edge of the picture.

if you had to you could just custom extend your grab bar or just buy a little longer grab bar, my old fmf powercore4 on my 300 was the same way..i just tried my best not to bring it over haha
