will a shock for a 87 model fit an 89 model bike??

I'm pretty sure all three will bolt right in.....now if you were to take the front shocks from an 85-86 then they won't. The rear I believe should still bolt in but not 100% on that.

Yes it will, 1987-1990 250 Quadracers were the same on the rear .

1991-92 they got rid of the full floater rear end . 85-86 had different rear swingarms so they will not work either (leverage ratios are different) .

The 91 and 92 had a linkage similar to the 500.
