I bought an 04 yfz 450 recently. The decompression plug looks to be the factory plastic. It has a rould metal bracket holding in on it. Is this bracket factory? Should I replace the plug anyways?

yea, i replaced mine with a metal one. forgot where i got it from tho. alot of places have them

no clue on what your talking about. minue just had a plug. no bracket

ok it may be an add on. I know a buddy of mine has an 04 and his had no bracket. He bought his used and didnt know if mine was an add on or his was missing it.

Some people when the removed the park brake just bent the eye that the cable went through over to hold the plastic plug in place.
Maybe that's what your looking at.
