i dunno how modified your engine is, but lrd works best with really hopped- up motors.i really dont know anything about the sparks pipe.

i remember a magazine doing a article on witch pipe is best for a 400, they took a stock 400 and tested 20 piped on the dyno, i know for a fact the top 2 hp pipes was the sparks pipe in first and the white bros in second, they differed by .2 hp and the LRD pipe and the rest of the comp was about 1.7 to 2 hp behind, i'll look to see if i can find that article again
